KSA to Participate at IDEX 2021 in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Riyadh, 17 February 2021

Saudi Arabia is set to participate at IDEX 2021 under "Invest Saudi". The KSA Pavilion is led and organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI). The Pavilion comprises leading national entities in defense, as well as important enablers in the ecosystem such as the Ministry of Investment. IDEX will be held 21 – 25 February 2021 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), UAE.

This participation evidences the leadership's empowerment of the Sector pursuant to  achieving its ambitious vision of strategic autonomy,  enhanced national military capabilities, and ultimately localization of more than 50% of expenditure on military equipment and services by 2030. The Sector will contribute to the Saudi economy through Transfer of Technology, Empowerment of local investors, and Job Creation for the Kingdom’s youth

GAMI and the 12 Exhibitors forming the KSA Pavilion, shall aspire to demonstrate the latest in key indigenous technologies, capabilities, and products in the Sector that serve the operational needs of various End Users. The Sector has become unprecedentedly active since September 2019, particularly upon receipt of applications for issuance of military industrial licensing through GAMI’s dedicated online Portal, which facilitates market entry for local and foreign investors alike and contributes to the enablement of the Sector achieving its strategic objectives.

Through KSA’s participation at IDEX 2021, the Kingdom shall be positioned to highlight its attractive and ripe for business investment environment, its incentives, its promising opportunities, and quality partnerships between Saudi defense companies and global players in defense shall be formed
