Through our national capabilities… Inauguration of the first HS132 fast interceptor boats

"The General Authority for Military Industries" (GAMI) and "The Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF)" have announced the inauguration and localization of the first, locally manufactured, HS132 fast interceptor boats, in addition to the inauguration of the first floating dock. This step came as part of a plan to localize Defense Industries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These Industries will be manufactured and localized as per the latest word-class standards and specifications and in partnership between "Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie" (CMN) and "Zamil Offshore".

This marks the first locally manufactured batch of the fast interceptor boat. It also follows previous batches received by RSNF through an agreement with CMN. The agreement includes manufacturing and supplying HSI32 boats, part of which will be manufactured in France and the other manufactured, and its technology transferred, locally in the Kingdom. Also, it is in line with the framework of joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of France in the field of military industrialization and cooperation.

The inauguration ceremony, which took place at the "Zamil Offshore" Headquarters in the Eastern Province, was attended by H.E. GAMI Governor Ahmad Al Ohali, RSNF Commander Lieutenant General Fahd Al-Ghufaili, Zamil Group Chairman Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Zamil, the Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Francois Goyette, the French assistant military attaché, and several senior officials from the relevant entities.
