Misk Charity and Military Industries Authority support human resources in the sector.

Today, The Mohammed bin Salman Charitable Foundation "Misk Charity" has signed an MoU with GAMI aimed at enhancing the cooperation to build national competencies and empower Saudi human resources in the Defense Sector, cross-practice collaboration to provide the latest knowledge and skills in this promising Sector.

The strategic partnership between Misk and GAMI to launch and endorse several of the Foundation's programs in the areas of training, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership, also provides training services to entities operating in the Defense Sector.

Misk CEO Dr. Badr Al-Badr represented Misk in the signing ceremony whereas Business Support Sector Deputy Governor Fayez Al-Fayez represented GAMI.

The cooperation between the two entities will see the launch of the "2030 Leaders" program, which sponsors a group of students enrolled in the program through Misk. Additionally, Misk will look to provide on-the-job training opportunities for fresh graduates from various Universities amongst Saudi students, in conjunction with GAMI. Working with the Authority, Misk will offer the Misk Academy programs as part of the annual training and development plans for the Sector employees, and work on developing specialized training programs based on the training needs of the various entities in the Sector.

Commenting on this occasion, Dr. Badr Al-Badr said: "Misk Charity is pleased with this strategic partnership with GAMI, which will develop one of the most vital and strategic Sectors in the Kingdom depending on its resources and directing Saudi competencies towards maximizing the national GDP in the Sector." 

Al-Badr added: "Transforming the Kingdom into a pioneering industrial power is one of the pillars on which Vision2030 stands, and this could be achieved simply by providing opportunities for learning and training for national cadres to advance their capabilities and contribute effectively to advancing national development.

Al-Fayez mentioned that Misk's Agreement comes within the framework of the Authority's strategic orientation to support the development of human capital in the Sector. Human capital is at the core of GAMI’s strategic directions, In particular, it is part of GAMI’s functions, such that harmonizing technical and academic education and training programs and establishing partnerships attracts competencies and expertise to the Sector.

Al-Fayez also added, "the Authority pays great attention to developing national competencies in the Sector, which is why the Authority has promoted plans for developing human capital, stressing that the national competencies present today in the Sector gives a clear indication that we have national resources capable of advancing this industry at all levels, including areas of research, technology and development."

It is noteworthy to mention that Misk operates, by its arms and initiatives, to provide training courses that support growth and learning. Based on its vision that aims at creating opportunities for the development of society and unleashing the energies of its members, and by providing various means and tools to nurture and empower talents and creative minds and create a healthy environment conducive for growth.
