Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries

His Excellency Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali is the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries due to his longstanding expertise in running large institutions over the course of 37 years.  Prior to his appointment as Governor, Al-Ohali served as CEO and Vice Chairman of the Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) contributing to its transformation into a joint stock company

The General Authority for Military Industries was established in accordance with the resolution of the Saudi Council of Ministers in August 2017. It embodies Saudi Arabia’s aspiration to develop national military manufacturing capabilities. The Authority is the regulating body for the military industries sector in the Kingdom and is responsible for its development and monitoring its performance.

Vision 2030

The benefits of localizing our own defense industries are not limited to solely reducing military spending. It also stimulates other industrial sectors such as industrial equipment, communications and information technology, which in turn creates more job opportunities.
