International Defense Exhibition and Conference  "IDEX" takes place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, hosting decision-makers in defense industries from around the world, as well as a range of key government, armed forces, and military officials. The exhibition is held every two years under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The General Authority for Military Industries represented Saudi Arabia at the event through its Saudi pavilion in 2021 and 2023, featuring participation from major national companies specializing in military, defense, and security industries. The Authority's participation received praise and extensive media coverage from local and international media, and it looks forward to representing Saudi Arabia in the coming years.

Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Authority organized the World Defense Show, a leading global event for defense and security. The event focuses on the future of the defense industry by showcasing the latest global technological developments across land, sea, air, space, and security sectors. It also facilitates communication with decision-makers in the defense field from the Kingdom and the world, featuring royal visits, official delegations, government officials, and executives from various defense and security industries. The exhibition draws its importance from the Kingdom's strategic location at the heart of global supply chains, making it an exceptional venue for the event. The first edition of the exhibition was held in March 2022, witnessing unprecedented interest from local and global defense markets. GAMI plans to hold the World Defense Show every two years.

GAMI celebrated the launch of the Human Resources Strategy in the military and defense industries sector in the Kingdom on Sunday, February 6th, 2022 at the Ritz
Carlton Hotel in Riyadh, attended by several Ministers and officials from both the public and private sectors.

The ceremony included three panel discussions, starting with a ministerial dialogue session entitled "The Role of the National System in Empowering Human Resources in the Military and Defense Industries Sector to Achieve Vision 2030 Targets." This session featured His Excellency Minister of Investment Engineer Khaled Al-Falih, His
Excellency Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, and His Excellency Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmad Al-Rajhi.

The second panel discussion was titled "The Role of the Military and Defense Industries Sector in Creating Diverse Career Paths" and included the participation of His
Excellency the Governor, Engineer Ahmad Al-Ohali, and other senior officials.

The ceremony concluded with the third dialogue session on "The Role of Education and Training in Developing, Empowering, and Preparing Human Resources to Work in the Military and Defense Industries Sector." Several dignitaries and partners from both the public and private sectors spoke in this session.

The event also included the announcement of several Memoranda of Understanding related to the development, empowerment, and enablement of human capital in the
military and defense industries sector in the Kingdom, between the Ministry of Investment, the General Authority for Military Industries, and Cranfield University in the
UK, in addition to signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Authority and
Leonardo Company.

The Authority celebrated the launch of a number of capabilities in the military industries sector in the Kingdom on Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Four Seasons Hotel in
Riyadh.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Minister of Investment,Engineer Khaled Al-Falih, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, His Excellency Dr. Falih Al-Sulaiman, the Governor of the General Authority for Defense Development, as well as several Princes, Ministers, and Executives of local companies operating in the sector and from investing companies in the military and defense industries in the Kingdom.

The event featured a ministerial dialogue session titled "The Role of the National System in Stimulating Investment in the Military Industrial Sector and Empowering the
Investor with Promising Opportunities to Contribute to Achieving Vision 2030 Targets."

It was attended by His Excellency Minister of Investment, Engineer Khaled Al-Falih, His Excellency Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, His
Excellency the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries, Engineer Ahmad Al-Ohali, and His Excellency Dr. Falih Al-Sulaiman, Governor of the General
Authority for Defense Development.

The event also included the announcement of several Memoranda of Understanding aimed at supporting the sector's directions and achieving its national targets.

Held biennially and organized by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF), the 1 st edition of the Saudi International Maritime Forum (SIM) was held in Riyadh from the 24 th – 26 th November 2019 under the patronage of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of GAMI. The 2 nd edition was held in Jeddah from the 15 th – 17 th November 2022 under the auspices of HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At SIM 2022, GAMI was a proud official sponsor, and looks to participate at the 3 rd edition of the Forum as well, which is planned to be held in Dammam in 2024.SIM brings together a wide array of leading maritime entities from all over the world with impressive military, technical, and technological capabilities.
